What is LWTech Lemons?

We are a group of students from the Lake Washington Institute of Technology, and we are planning to enter the 24 Hours of Lemons in April 2027.

Together, we will attempt to track-prep a car for $500 or less, not including the cost of safety equipment, and drive as many laps as we can over the course of two race sessions at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA.

As racing team, we are entirely student-run. We have faculty advisors, but every step of the process--planning our build, vehicle diagnostics, repair work and maintenance, body restoration, roll cage fabrication, fundraising, race day logistics, pit stops, and even driving--is performed by students.

Participating in the 24 Hours of Lemons is an opportunity for us to put ALL the skills we are learning at LWTech into practice and gain experience solving real-world automotive problems as a team.
